Delta to introduce fast, free Wi-Fi on flights to Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal by early 2025
Delta Air Lines is set to enhance the travel experience for passengers flying to and from Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal with the rollout of fast, free Wi-Fi on select long-haul international routes. This service, presented by T-Mobile, is expected to be available between December 2024 and January 2025, marking a significant milestone in Delta’s commitment to providing reliable, high-quality in-flight connectivity across its global fleet.
This initiative is part of Delta’s broader strategy to offer free Wi-Fi on all its international flights, a move that already covers nearly 700 aircraft, or more than 90% of its domestic mainline fleet. The airline aims to extend this service to the vast majority of its international routes by the end of 2024, making it the first in the industry to offer such comprehensive coverage.
For travelers from Africa, especially those in Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal, this development promises to significantly enhance their in-flight experience, allowing them to stay connected, work, or enjoy entertainment seamlessly during their journeys. The rollout reflects Delta’s dedication to improving customer service and maintaining its competitive edge in the global airline industry.
Delta’s phased approach to implementing this service ensures that customers will receive the premium connectivity experience they expect. As part of this initiative, the airline will introduce the Delta Sync Wi-Fi experience later this year, offering personalized onboard experiences and exclusive offers for SkyMiles members.
This move underscores Delta’s leadership in the aviation industry, setting a new standard for in-flight connectivity and enhancing the travel experience for passengers across its international routes, including those connecting key African markets to the rest of the world.
