Saood Al Aqili, is Emirates’ new Country Manager for Ghana
EMIRATES has announced the appointment of Saood Al Aqili as its new Country Manager for Ghana, effective 1st October 2024.
The move is part of a series of strategic appointments aimed at enhancing the airline’s operations in the Middle East and Africa.
Saood Al Aqili, formerly the District Manager for Dhahran and the KSA Eastern Province, will now take charge of Emirates’ operations in Ghana, a key market for the airline.
With over two decades of presence in Ghana, Emirates continues to deliver premium services, connecting the country to 130 destinations worldwide.
The airline remains a trusted partner for Ghanaian travellers, offering a variety of classes including Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First Class. Emirates has also made significant contributions to the local aviation sector, delivering excellent service and boosting connectivity.
Al Aqili’s appointment follows the transition of Cathrine Wesley, who served as Country Manager for Ghana since 2018. She will now assume the role of Manager for Algeria. Under Wesley’s leadership, Emirates saw continued growth and solidified its presence in Ghana, catering to the diverse travel needs of the market.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, praised the new appointments, stating, “our commercial managers have been critical to Emirates’ success in global markets, and the new appointments reflect our confidence in their ability to elevate our brand and deliver for our customers.”
Other key appointments across the Middle East and Africa include Abdulla Adnan, now Manager for Morocco, and Fahad Al Hassawi, who will take on the role of District Manager for Dhahran and the KSA Eastern Province.
As Emirates continues its expansion and growth, the new appointments are expected to further strengthen its position in key markets, including Ghana, which remains a vital hub for the airline’s operations in West Africa.
