GACL gets new MD

THE Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has a new Managing Director (MD).

A press release issued by the company and shared with ghnewshub.com said President Nana Akufo-Addo “has nominated Mrs. Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare for appointment as the Managing Director for Ghana Airports Company Limited with effect from 24 December, 2023.”

The appointment follows the retirement of former MD, Mrs. Pamela Djamson-Tettey on December 23 2023.

The release added that the Board had been directed to facilitate the exit of management staff who had attained the statutory retirement age of 60 years.

They are “Mr Emmanuel Akotoa Fianko . Group Executive, Procurement Col. (Rtd) Emmanuel Akohene Mensah – Director, Aviation Security Mr Yaw Appiah-Danquah – Director, Airports Planning & Projects.”

 The press release reaffirmed GACL’s  commitment  to realizing its vision of positioning Ghana as the Preferred Aviation Hub and Leader in Airport Business in West Africa.
