Immigration Service moves to next phase in 2024 recruitment exercise
The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has announced that its 2024 recruitment exercise, which began with an initial public advertisement on August 7, is progressing to the next phase. Successful candidates from the first round are now being invited for Body Selection, Document Assessment, and Medical Screening.
The next stage of the recruitment process will kick off on Monday, November 11, 2024, and will include three key assessments:
Body Selection will involve physical evaluations to determine candidates’ fitness for the role. Document Assessment will focus on verifying important documents, including Birth and Academic Certificates, to ensure candidates meet the GIS requirements. Candidates who pass these assessments will proceed to Medical Screening, with the cost of the examination borne by the candidates themselves.
Candidates will receive specific details about the venue and schedule once contacted by the GIS.
The GIS has also issued a public warning to candidates and the general public against fraud, advising them to avoid individuals or groups soliciting money under the guise of offering recruitment assistance. The Service emphasized that entry into the GIS is solely merit-based and free from intermediaries.
