World Bank Africa VP to visit Ghana’s iconic Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park

The World Bank Regional Vice President for Africa, Mr. Ousmane Diagana, is set to embark on an official visit to Ghana from January 6 to 12, 2025. As part of his itinerary, Mr. Diagana will tour the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial and Mausoleum in Accra on Monday, January 6, 2025

This visit underscores the World Bank’s recognition of Ghana’s historical and cultural heritage, embodied by the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial, which honours the legacy of Ghana’s first President and a pivotal figure in the African liberation movement.

The tour is expected to highlight the significance of Ghana’s strides in fostering development and preserving its rich history. It will also provide an opportunity for engagement on Ghana’s socio-economic progress and its partnerships with international development institutions.

Mr. Diagana’s visit reaffirms the World Bank’s continued commitment to supporting Ghana in achieving its developmental goals, promoting sustainable growth, and strengthening ties with the global community.
