Legacy Rise Sports launches, promises new era in Ghanaian sports

Legacy Rise Sports officially launched over the weekend, marking the beginning of a new chapter in sports promotion and management in Ghana. The event, held in grand style, drew some of the country’s most esteemed sports figures and an enthusiastic crowd, all united in support of the company’s mission to elevate Ghanaian sports to new heights.

The evening was a dazzling showcase of talent and entertainment, headlined by thrilling boxing bouts featuring some of Ghana’s most promising fighters, including Abu Kamoko, Thomas Ayanatoya, Kevin Carter, and Samuel Lartey. Notably, Abu Kamoko and Kevin Carter are managed by Legacy Rise Sports, highlighting the company’s commitment to nurturing and showcasing local talent.

Among the high-profile attendees were Professor Azumah Nelson, Stephen Appiah, Anthony Baffoe, Fatau Dauda, and Joseph Prince Agbeko, who all voiced their excitement about Legacy Rise Sports’ vision. Their presence underscored the significance of the company’s mission in fostering the growth and development of Ghanaian sports.

Speaking at the event, CEO of Legacy Rise Sports, Mr. Sharaf Mahama, shared the company’s ambitious vision. “At Legacy Rise Sports, we are driven by a vision to elevate sports to new heights while using it as a powerful tool for social change. Our mission is clear: to identify and nurture local talent, provide them with the opportunities they need to succeed, and promote Ghanaian sports and culture on the global stage.”

Mr. Mahama also called on individuals, organizations, and institutions to support the company’s efforts. “To achieve our vision, we need the continued support of individuals, organizations, and institutions that share our commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and the promotion of sports. In recognition of his contributions to the development of boxing in Ghana, Mr. Mahama was honored with a boxing belt by the Ghana Boxing Association (GBA).
