Africa’s biggest tech event, the Africa Tech Festival 2025, is gearing up to unite global tech giants, investors, and African business leaders to shape the continent’s digital future.

Set for Cape Town from 11 to 13 November, the festival’s first wave of 25 headline speakers includes Bernardo Mariano Junior, the UN’s Chief Information Technology Officer; Mark Elliott, President for Africa at Mastercard, who will speak on inclusive finance; and Emmanuel Lubanzadio, OpenAI’s Head of Africa, addressing AI adoption and policy readiness.

Odunayo Eweniyi, fintech entrepreneur and PiggyVest Co-Founder, will share insights on unlocking funding for startups, while Tumi Chamayou of MTN and Ravi Bhat of Microsoft Africa will delve into enterprise innovation and building robust digital infrastructure. Senior decision-makers from African Bank, Transnet, Telkom, and South Africa’s public sector will also join the discussions.

The event will run across four core tracks, AfricaCom, AfricaTech, AfricaIgnite, and The AI Summit Cape Town, exploring themes such as responsible innovation, inclusive investment, connectivity for development, and policy harmonisation.

Kadi Diallo, Portfolio Manager for the festival, said the line-up reflects Africa’s vibrant and fast-evolving tech ecosystem. “These speakers are actively working to close gaps, build systems, and enable a digital economy that works for all,” she noted.

Now in its third decade, Africa Tech Festival continues to be a hub for networking, policy dialogue, and partnerships that can drive Africa’s economic growth through technology.
