Empowering women in leadership: StanChart Ghana CEO leads the charge

Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Plc, Mrs Mansa Nettey has emphasized the valuable contributions women bring to leadership roles, citing their unique and progressive perspectives.

 Speaking to women entrepreneurs in the mining industry, she encouraged them to invest in themselves, become more visible, and deliver exceptional results.

Mrs Nettey who is the immediate past President of the Ghana Association of Banks noted that Standard Chartered Ghana had made significant progress in promoting women’s participation in leadership, despite initial challenges.

She advised the young businesswomen to build a strong foundation of knowledge and expertise to scale heights in their careers.

“We owe it to ourselves to always put our best foot forward and deliver at the highest levels and open doors for other women. We also need to build a wealth of knowledge as you will not be able to scale the heights without expertise and experience behind you. Let’s also strive to see the opportunities inherent in challenges. I have often said that those who look beyond the challenges will discover the great opportunities that can propel them to the next level,” she indicated.

The CEO’s remarks aimed to inspire and empower women to take on leadership roles and make a meaningful impact in their industries. Her message emphasized the importance of women’s participation in leadership, highlighting their ability to bring diverse perspectives and drive progress.
