Ghana jumps four spots in FIFA rankings after impressive wins

Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, have made a significant leap in the latest FIFA world rankings for men’s football, released on Thursday. The West African country jumped four places from 68th to 64th globally, following their impressive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers this month.

On the continental stage, Ghana also moved up two places, from 14th to 12th, solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in African football.

The latest FIFA rankings saw Argentina retain their top spot, followed closely by France, Belgium, Brazil, and England. However, Ghana’s progress is a testament to their hard work and dedication, and they will be looking to continue their upward trajectory in the coming months.

The Black Stars’ victories over Mali and the Central African Republic demonstrated their resilience and determination, and their improved ranking is a well-deserved reward for their efforts. As they continue on their journey to the 2026 World Cup, Ghana will be looking to build on this momentum and make a lasting impact on the global stage.
