Ecobank Rewards 3,600 Customers as Festive Promotion Gains Momentum

Ecobank Ghana has rewarded more than 3,600 customers after the first month of its three-month customer appreciation promotion, aimed at driving digital transactions, deposits and lending activity while giving back to loyal customers during the festive season.
The promotion, which runs until the end of January, is expected to reward over 10,000 customers nationwide through cash prizes, shopping vouchers, fuel vouchers and insurance cover, as the bank intensifies efforts to deepen customer engagement across its products and digital platforms.
Speaking at the first draw, Head of Marketing and Brands at Ecobank Ghana, Regina Ofori, described the initiative as a way of thanking customers for their continued loyalty and trust in the bank.
“At Ecobank, we believe in celebrating our customers. This promotion is one of the many ways we express our gratitude to customers for choosing us as their preferred financial partner,” she said.
She noted that over the past month, customers actively engaged the bank through deposits, loans and transactions on Ecobank’s digital channels, making them eligible for the rewards.
According to Ms Ofori, the promotion has been structured to give every customer a fair chance of winning, regardless of how they bank with Ecobank.

“In total, we plan to reward over 10,000 customers. There are different categories, including shopping vouchers, fuel vouchers, cash prizes and insurance packages,” she explained.
Under the first draw, more than 20 customers each won GH₵2,000, while five customers walked away with GH₵10,000 each. In addition, over 500 customers received one-year insurance cover valued at GH₵10,000 per person.
The draw was conducted in partnership with the National Lotteries Authority (NLA) on the Caritas platform to ensure transparency, fairness and credibility.
“We want our customers to be confident that if they are declared winners, they are true winners,” Ms Ofori said.
She encouraged both existing and potential customers to take advantage of the remaining draws, noting that customers who transact in December will be rewarded in January, while January transactions will be rewarded in February.
Participation, she explained, is simple. Customers qualify by depositing funds in multiples of GH₵400, taking loans in multiples of GH₵4,000, or transacting frequently on the Ecobank Mobile App, where every four transactions unlock an entry into the draw.
Ms Ofori said the promotion reflects Ecobank’s broader commitment to innovation and customer-centric banking, particularly at a time when household spending typically rises.
“December is a season of spending. For us, this is about giving back to our customers and continuing to offer world-class banking solutions that support their needs,” she added.
