Zeepay Urges Caution as Court of Appeal Hears Ongoing Legal Dispute

Digital payments company Zeepay has appealed to customers, business partners and the general public to treat reports surrounding its ongoing legal dispute with caution, stressing that the matter remains before the Court of Appeal and has not been finally determined.
In a public statement issued by management, the company said the case involving Zeepay and other parties is still pending before the Court of Appeal, making it inappropriate to comment on the substantive issues until the judicial process has run its course.
The statement follows recent media publications on the dispute, which the company said do not accurately reflect the current legal position of the case.
According to Zeepay, some of the reports circulating in the media contain inaccuracies that will be addressed through the appropriate legal channels at the appropriate time.
“Certain reports circulating in the media do not accurately reflect the current legal position. These will be addressed through the appropriate legal channels in due course,” the company stated.
Zeepay reiterated its commitment to upholding the rule of law and respecting the independence of Ghana’s judicial system, noting that it would refrain from making further public comments while the matter remains sub judice.
The company also urged the public to exercise restraint and rely only on verified information until the Court of Appeal delivers its final determination.
The assurance comes amid heightened public interest in the case, with the company seeking to reassure customers and stakeholders that its day-to-day operations remain unaffected.
Management said Zeepay continues to operate with professionalism and integrity, expressing appreciation to customers, employees, partners and other stakeholders for their continued confidence in the business despite the ongoing legal proceedings.
The company maintained that it remains focused on delivering its digital payment and cross-border remittance services while allowing the legal process to take its course.
Zeepay concluded by reaffirming its confidence in Ghana’s judicial system and indicated that it would continue.
