Nestlé Ghana Backs President’s Independence Day Awards, Honouring 52 Outstanding Students

The 2024 President’s Independence Day Awards, sponsored by Nestlé Ghana Ltd, have officially commenced, recognizing 52 outstanding students for their academic excellence in both public and private schools across the country.
As part of the prestigious ceremony, the awardees— including students with disabilities— embarked on a series of high-profile visits on Monday, March 3. They paid courtesy calls on the Presidency, the Ministry of Education, and the Ghana Education Service, where they engaged with key stakeholders on education policies and governance.
The students will also tour Nestlé Ghana’s Tema factory to gain insights into the company’s operations and contributions to Ghana’s industrial sector. Additionally, they will visit the University of Ghana, Legon, to interact with academics and explore opportunities for higher education.
Nestlé Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to education, stating, “We are thrilled to honour these remarkable young achievers who have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence. Supporting education and empowering the next generation remains a key priority for us.”
The President’s Independence Day Awards, an annual initiative, continue to inspire and motivate students to strive for excellence while fostering national development through education.
