Ghana, India commit to robust trade and investment ties

Both sides of an India-Ghana Joint Trade Committee have affirmed their readiness to implement the decisions flowing from the 4th session of a  meeting with a view to further deepening bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.  

The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and Mr Michael Okyere-Baafi, Deputy Minister for Trade & Industry, Government of Ghana.

The visiting delegation was accompanied by Confederation of Indian Industry led business delegation. The discussions, aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties between the two countries, took place in a friendly and cordial atmosphere reflecting the traditional bonds between the two countries.

The Indian Delegation also called on Mr. Kwaku Ampratwum Sarpong, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Government of Ghana and held discussions with Mr. Wamkele Mene, Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
