The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) says it has paid GH¢2.3 billion to bondholders affected by the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP), completing its mandatory payment obligations for 2026.

In a statement, COCOBOD said it settled GH¢2,306,202,372.09, bringing its total payments to DDEP bondholders this year to GH¢2.68 billion.

The latest payment follows a coupon payment of GH¢376.3 million made in March 2026.

COCOBOD also said it paid GH¢162 million in July 2026 to holders of Cocoa Bills who did not participate in the DDEP.

According to the Board, the July payment cleared its outstanding obligations to the affected non-DDEP Cocoa Bill holders.

COCOBOD said the payments form part of its efforts to systematically settle its financial obligations and strengthen the financial sustainability of the cocoa sector.

The Board said the process is being undertaken under the guidance of the Ministry of Finance.

COCOBOD said the settlements demonstrate its commitment to responsible financial management and meeting its obligations to investors and other stakeholders.
