Nestlé Ghana Goes Green with New NIDO Packaging

Nestlé Ghana Limited has introduced a newly redesigned packaging for its iconic NIDO® milk powder, reinforcing its commitment to nutrition and environmental sustainability.

The new packaging features a fresh, visually appealing design and is made from an improved, easier-to-recycle plastic, aligning with Nestlé’s global efforts to reduce waste and minimize its environmental impact. This move simplifies recycling processes, contributing to a cleaner environment.

In addition to sustainability, the packaging prominently displays key nutritional information, particularly highlighting its iron content. This ensures that parents and caregivers are well-informed about NIDO®’s fortification and benefits, empowering them to make better nutritional choices for their children.

“We are excited to introduce this updated NIDO® packaging, which embodies our commitment to both nutrition and sustainability,” said Gilbert Tweneboah-Koduah, Category Manager, Dairy at Nestlé Ghana. “NIDO® retains its beloved creamy taste while being enriched with iron and essential minerals crucial for children’s cognitive development, learning, and overall growth.”

Beyond packaging innovation, Nestlé Ghana remains actively engaged in sustainability initiatives such as waste management programs and renewable energy adoption. Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Manager, Deborah Kwablah, reiterated the company’s dedication to fostering a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations through responsible practices.

Salome Azevedo, Business Executive Officer for Beverages and Dairy in Nestlé Central and West Africa, emphasized that NIDO® aligns with the company’s mission to empower children with the right nutrition to drive meaningful change in the future.

Nestlé Ghana called on consumers, partners, and stakeholders to support sustainability efforts and responsible consumption practices, ensuring a collective impact on environmental conservation.
