Ecobank Ghana appreciates loyal customers with massive rewards

Ecobank Ghana has rewarded 5,060 customers as part of its “Ecobank Million Geng” promotion, a campaign designed to show appreciation to the bank’s loyal customers. Launched with the goal of rewarding over 7 million customers, the campaign will conclude in July 2024.

To qualify for the rewards, customers must deposit a minimum of GH₵500, maintain it for seven days, and complete four transactions on Ecobank’s digital channels. The latest draw saw 1,500 subscribers winning cash prizes, with Ecobank agents also being rewarded for their support.

William Danso-Abeam, Head of Consumer Products at Ecobank, highlighted the importance of appreciating the bank’s agents. “We have over 6,000 agents across Ghana, and we are proud of their support. While encouraging people to save, we decided to incentivize our agents as well,” he said. Danso-Abeam explained that the bank had divided the rewards into four zones across Ghana, ensuring winners from all regions.

In light of concerns about fraudsters exploiting such promotions, Danso-Abeam emphasized the need for caution. He assured customers that official communication would come from the bank’s line, 080-000-3225, and that the bank would never ask for personal information during these calls. He urged customers to stay vigilant and trust only official communications.

The “Ecobank Million Geng” promo continues to motivate customers to save and transact digitally, fostering a culture of financial inclusion and digital banking in Ghana.
