2025 Ghana Garden & Flower Show Opens Today

The much-anticipated 2025 Ghana Garden & Flower Show officially opens today, 20 September, at the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra. Running through 28 September under the theme “Urban Places, Green Spaces”, this year’s edition once again calls on Ghanaians to reconnect with nature and rethink how greenery can transform urban living.
For over a decade, Stratcomm Africa, led by its founder Esther Cobbah, has nurtured this show from a modest idea into one of Ghana’s most loved events. The initiative has shifted national conversations about urban development, demonstrating that plants, flowers, and green spaces are more than decorative—they can create jobs, foster community, and support climate resilience.
From Small Beginnings to National Impact
What began as an effort to encourage more planting and celebrate Ghana’s natural beauty has become a platform for green entrepreneurs, florists, and eco-focused businesses. It has also inspired young people to take pride in environmental stewardship while opening income streams in floriculture and horticulture.
Why This Year Matters
Accra and other Ghanaian cities are rapidly urbanising, with new roads and estates rising daily. Yet, as concrete expands, green spaces are vanishing. This year’s theme highlights how greenery must be treated as essential infrastructure—vital for health, climate resilience, and quality of life.
Community and Opportunity
Over the years, the Show has partnered with schools, supported women and youth-led enterprises, and expanded into conferences, workshops, and masterclasses on sustainable living. More than a business platform, it has created a sense of community that draws families, policymakers, and international partners alike.
Looking Ahead
The 2025 edition promises vibrant exhibitions, fresh ideas, and countless opportunities to learn and connect. From plant lovers and budding entrepreneurs to city dwellers seeking a breath of fresh air, the Ghana Garden & Flower Show offers something for everyone.
As the gates open today, Stratcomm Africa’s vision remains clear: to help build a greener, cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful Ghana.
