Turkish Exporters Eye Stronger Trade Ties with Ghana as Business Delegation Heads to Accra

A high-level trade delegation from Türkiye is set to visit Ghana in November 2025, signalling renewed interest in expanding commercial partnerships and market presence across West Africa’s fast-growing economies.
The visit is being coordinated by the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM) in collaboration with Firmus Advisory, under the auspices of the Republic of Turkey’s Ministry of Trade. TİM, which represents more than 150,000 exporters spanning 27 sectors, says the mission reflects Türkiye’s strategic push to deepen its trade footprint across Africa.
More than 17 leading Turkish companies, operating in industries including automotive parts, construction materials, electrical appliances, food processing, furniture manufacturing, heavy machinery, and hygiene products, will participate in the Turkey–Ghana B2B Trade Delegation Event scheduled for November 25, 2025 in Accra.
Promoting Partnerships and Market Access
The event will create a platform for direct business-to-business (B2B) engagements between Turkish exporters and Ghanaian importers, wholesalers, distributors, and investors.
According to the organizers, Ghanaian businesses will have the opportunity to:
-
Meet suppliers of competitively priced industrial and consumer products
-
Explore import and distribution partnerships
-
Identify joint venture and manufacturing collaboration prospects
-
Gain insights into Turkish production standards and supply capabilities
Industry observers say Ghana’s improved business climate, stable political environment, and strategic location as a West African trade hub make it an attractive destination for Turkish firms looking to expand on the continent.
Deepening Bilateral Trade
Ghana and Türkiye already maintain steady trade relations, particularly in construction, textiles, and household goods. However, trade officials on both sides believe there is significant room to scale volumes and diversify into new sectors, especially as Ghana continues to promote industrial transformation under initiatives such as One District One Factory (1D1F).
For Ghanaian companies, the event offers access to new supply channels, potentially reducing import costs and improving product variety for local consumers and manufacturers.
Registration for the B2B forum is already open, with organizers encouraging early confirmation due to expected high participation from local firms.
