GIPC reassures investors of uninterrupted support services

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has moved to allay fears of political interference in its operations, assuring investors that its aftercare services will continue uninterrupted, regardless of changes in government.

Deputy CEO, Yaw Amoateng Afriyie, speaking at a media interaction, emphasized that the aftercare function, though relatively new, has been an integral part of GIPC’s services over the years, with numerous success stories.

He dispelled concerns that changes in leadership or management might impact the aftercare function, stating that “things that are within the statutes will be maintained within the statute.” He added that any new Chief Executive or management would not want to reorganize the centre in a way that would undermine progress.

Mr. Afriyie highlighted the significance of the aftercare unit, which has been instrumental in restoring the fortunes of businesses. He cited the example of a company in Adentan that faced community resistance due to environmental concerns but was able to resume operations and implement a 3 million euro expansion plan with the intervention of GIPC’s aftercare team.

The GIPC’s aftercare services aim to support businesses and ensure their continued growth and success, and the Centre remains committed to providing uninterrupted support to investors.
