Zonda Ghana to assemble pickup trucks locally by August

“Zonda Ghana Limited, in partnership with China’s Great Wall Motor (GWM), has launched two new vehicle models in Ghana, marking a significant milestone in the country’s automotive industry.

The GWM Tank 300 SUV and P-series pickup truck were unveiled at a ceremony in Accra on Tuesday, attended by Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Michael Okyere Baafi.

Baafi praised Zonda and its partners for revolutionizing the vehicle supply landscape in Ghana through local assembly, which has transformed the industry and provided affordable high-quality vehicles to Ghanaians. He commended the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, noting that the government’s incentives for local vehicle assembly have contributed to the success.

Yang Yang, Managing Director of Zonda, emphasized the company’s dedication to providing top-notch vehicles and creating job opportunities in Ghana. He announced that Zonda will begin assembling pickup trucks locally by August, a move that will enhance production capabilities, create jobs, and contribute to the local economy.
