B&P Associates mark 10 yrs of legal excellence and community impact
B&P Associates, a leading corporate and commercial law firm in Ghana, has marked its 10th anniversary with a series of impactful events themed around ‘Impact and Empowerment.’
The celebrations, which spanned various locations in Accra, showcased the firm’s commitment to both legal excellence and corporate social responsibility.
The anniversary kicked off with a donation to the National Centre for Radiotherapy at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, underscoring B&P’s dedication to supporting healthcare in Ghana.
The donation was followed by a heartfelt thanksgiving service, and the celebrations culminated in a vibrant soiree at the firm’s office in Cantonments.
A Decade of Legal Excellence
Over the past decade, B&P Associates has carved a niche as one of Ghana’s foremost law firms, particularly in corporate and commercial law.
The firm is recognized for its vibrant team of lawyers, many of whom hold dual qualifications, and is led by Managing Partner, Mrs. Adelaide Benneh Prempeh, a certified Insolvency Practitioner and consultant to the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group.
In an interview during the soiree, Mrs. Benneh Prempeh expressed her gratitude for the milestone, stating, “We are proud to celebrate this momentous occasion. It’s a reflection of our resilience, commitment to empowerment, and the trust our clients have placed in us.
“We believe that law firms are crucial drivers of economic growth in Ghana, and at B&P, we are dedicated to building capacity and attracting top talent to continue driving change.”
Focus on Corporate Social Responsibility
B&P Associates has a long-standing reputation for supporting social causes, with a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Speaking on the firm’s approach, Christian Odame, a legal associate at B&P, highlighted the significance of the anniversary theme: “Our core values of impact and empowerment are not just commercial ambitions but reflect how we seek to uplift our communities. We believe in the African philosophy of Ubuntu – that our success is interconnected with the success of those around us.”
This commitment was demonstrated by the firm’s recent donation to the National Centre for Radiotherapy, part of a broader CSR initiative aimed at supporting the country’s healthcare system.
Clients Applaud B&P’s Innovative Approach
Several of B&P’s clients were present at the soiree to celebrate the firm’s achievements, praising its professionalism, innovation, and client-focused approach. A senior business executive whose company retains B&P shared: “We value B&P’s forward-thinking and business-minded approach.
“As our company expands into the region, it’s reassuring to have a law firm that stays ahead of regional developments, such as the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and Pan African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS), and ensures Ghanaian businesses are well-positioned to leverage these opportunities.”
Looking to the Future
In her closing remarks, Mrs. Benneh Prempeh reflected on the firm’s journey and credited her faith, family, and the support of colleagues for B&P’s continued success. She also reaffirmed the firm’s mission to strengthen Ghana’s legal industry and empower the next generation of lawyers.
“We are determined to lead efforts to scale up and grow the legal industry in Ghana, ensuring that young lawyers are equipped with the necessary skills to make Ghana a hub for legal services in Africa,” she said.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, B&P Associates plans to host lectures, moot courts, and various client appreciation activities throughout the year, further solidifying its commitment to growth, impact, and empowerment in the legal sector.
