Unilever Ghana PLC sees significant revenue growth in 2023

Unilever Ghana PLC has announced a remarkable 44% increase in revenue, reaching GH¢908 million in 2023, up from GH¢632 million in 2022.

The company’s profit also saw a substantial jump, rising from GH¢15 million in 2022 to GH¢141 million in 2023.

According to Managing Director Chris Wulff-Caesar who was speaking at The Facts Behind the Figures forum organised by the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), the improved turnover is attributable to continued investments in coverage, innovations, and a strong focus on driving volume recovery and enhancing profitability. The company sustained its investments in building the equity of its core brands, including Key Soap, Pepsodent, and Geisha.

Unilever Ghana PLC also made significant progress in its sustainability projects, including plastic waste collection and recycling initiatives through the Ghana Recycling Initiative by Private Enterprises (GRIPE). The company remains committed to its purpose of making sustainable living commonplace.

Additionally, Unilever Ghana PLC continued its livelihood empowerment project in the Upper West region and expanded it to other regions. The company also promoted oral and personal hygiene habits in schools and communities, and made product donations to various organizations to improve health and hygiene standards.
